From last semester, I realized that I severely lack the
speaking skill especially when it comes to voiced sound and words written with
katakana. With words borrowed from the English language, I kept pronouncing
them using English accent. To remedy these problems, I decide that I will read
all katakana words out syllable by syllable when I encounter it. This will
hopefully help me to pronounce English words in a more Japanese way.
I also think I need to separate each syllable of a word properly. I need to keep the length of my moras constants.
Furthermore, I also
need to be able to construct sentence in my head faster and more confidently. I
will have to go to more Japanese language table. However, I also realized my
time constraint, so I don’t really know how often I can go to the language
table. I will try to go at least every other week from now. Thus, from the
observations above, I will revise my plan as follow:
1.
I will do all vocab pronunciation exercise to learn how to say each word one by
one. I will do all chapters' dialog shadowing and simulation to speak more
naturally.
2.
I will make sure to pronounce each English word using katakana properly.
3. I will attend at least 2 Japanese language table per month.
4. I will search for Japanese lyrics of songs when I listen to it.
3. I will attend at least 2 Japanese language table per month.
4. I will search for Japanese lyrics of songs when I listen to it.
Hopefully,
this would lead me closer to my original goal, which is to be fluent in
Japanese enough to sound like a Japanese person!
